Sybase SQL version of roomMaster
2000 launched.
The Premier edition of
roomMaster 2000 allows our software
to work even better in larger
hotels. Its designed to work on
a Sybase database and offers
high-performance through
innovative query processing and
the ability to run the database
on multi-processor servers.
The Premier Edition introduces a
solid SQL database as the
backend for roomMaster 2000.
This offers robust capabilities
in speed, scalability, and
security. All of the screens and
reports throughout the software
were reprogrammed to take
advantage of client/server
architecture. There has been a
dramatic increase in speed: the
end of day process for a
250-room hotel completing in
one-third of the time of the
Standard or Professional
versions , many of the reports
are much faster, too.
Besides significantly better
performance the system offers
the ability to keep an unlimited
amount of historical data
without sacrificing speed and
efficiency. Also having a true
client/server architecture on a
SQL platform makes data
corruption virtually impossible.
This adds to the overall
stability of the software.
Installing the Premier Edition
is just as easy as the Standard
and Enterprise Editions. Since
most of our hotel customers do
not have IT departments on site,
we selected Sybase SQL Anywhere
because it is self-administering
and self-tuning capabilities,
which eliminates the need for a
computer professional to be
involved. Best of all, upgrading
from the Standard or Enterprise
Editions to the Premier Edition
is a very easy process, and most
data is converted quickly.
