Award-winning Wales hotel goes
Online With roomMaster 2000
hotel management software
Morgan’s (www.morganshotel.co.uk)
is a five star hotel located in
the heart of Swansea city. It
won the AA Welsh hotel of the
year award in 2004 and is a
grade II listed building.
To handle bookings, Louise
Eakins, Company Accountant,
selected roomMaster 2000 from
InnQuest U.K. “The system was
recommended by our IT
consultant,” Louise says, “but
we looked at other systems as
well. We liked roomMaster 2000
as it is simple to use and has
its own EPOS system.”

and highly flexible
Windows-based application that
enables hotels to automate room
bookings and integrate their
telephones, voicemail, EPOS, keylocks and other systems.
Following a successful
installation, late this summer
Morgan’s upgraded to
roomMaster.net, the online
reservation system. This offers
hotel owners the great advantage
of commission-free online
reservations as guests book
directly from the hotel website.
According to Louise, at present
most reservations still come in
by telephone but that should
change. “We hope to switch many
of our customers to online
booking as soon as possible,”
she says. She also expects to
use the system’s e-mail module
to enhance her marketing.
Most important, roomMaster 2000
requires minimal staff training.
“We have a lot of staff
turnover, so it’s essential to
have a user-friendly system,”
she says. At present, five
people have full access to the
system.
